Funding Grant - First Home Owners Grant

As part of the Federal Governments assistance to First Home Buyers, a grant was established to assist successful applicants to cover their acquisition costs to complete the purchase of their first home. The grant was originally in two parts, one for people who were purchasing a completed established home and an additonal grant for those who were building their new home on a vacant block of residential land. Both grants were worth $7,000.00 each, so that the new home builder actually received a total of $14,000.00. The additional grant for the home builder was eventually discontinued, and only the original Home Owners grant of $7,000.00 remains.
